History
GSPC was formed in 1981 by some enthusiastic and energetic Bengalis, then settled in and around Jersey City, NJ, with the objective of preserving the heritage of India & Bengal. Some worthy pioneers of this committee are Dr. Suman Dass, Mr. Mono Ranjan Sen, Mr. Kamal Aditya, Mr. Ashok Rakshit and Mr. Pijush Chakraborty. As organizers of the Jersey City Durga Puja we foster a “ghoroa” environment where newcomers as well as old-timers can participate freely in all activities associated with our events.
