Alokparna Guha – from Kolkata (Sat., Oct 16))
Alokparna is a widely acclaimed exponent of Kathak dance, from Kolkata. She has performed in many music conferences in India & abroad, including the prestigious Konark Dance Festival, and has made several appearances on Television channels. She was awarded the Gold Medal from Rabindra Bharati University, and has earned accolades from the general public and connoisseurs alike. More…

For our Durga puja she’ll present a classical number as well as Bengali song sequences choreographed in Kathak style.

Soumyen Adhikari – from Kolkata (Sat., Oct 16)
Soumyen is an accomplished singer with a rich repertoire of Bengali songs, ranging from adhunik (modern), traditional, devotional and Rabindra Sangeet. He has several albums to his name, has traveled extensively in India, Europe & the Americas. He has rendered his voice to many TV serials (Chirodiner Gaan, Shesh Bichar) and has done playback for a forthcoming film (Swapna Pinjor). He is also an active composer and music arranger.

Suchismita Das – from Mumbai (Sat., Oct 16)
Suchismita is a common name in the TV channels (Zee-TV, Tara-TV, E-TV…) and co-hosted the extremely popular show “SaReGaMaPa Tumi Na Ami” on Zee-Bangla. She sings Bengali & Hindi songs of all genres – from filmi to ghazals – with equal flair. More… www.suchismita.com
She will perform with a full-fledged live band to provide the finale for our Saturday cultural show

Partha & Gauri Ghosh – from Kolkata (Sun. Oct 17)
Partha & Gouri Ghosh need no introduction to the connoisseur of Bengali literature. Armed with nothing more than their sonorous voices, this husband and wife team has enthralled audiences with the sheer power of their words. Their in-depth knowledge in the literary works of Rabindranath Tagore is one of their unprecedented assets.
